In December 2005 The Church Gallery closed with plans to reopen on refurbished premises in 2007. This left Perth artist Gary Pumfrey with out a venue for his "for a few deli's more" exhibition, so in August 2006 the church organised for the exhibition to be hosted by Span Galleries in Melbourne. Family and members of Juice FC and Toxic Paintball Club showed their support by ensuring that Gary's alcohol and adrenalin levels stayed adequately high for the duration of the journey. This was accomplished with a week in the Melbourne suburb of South Yarra and a week in Victoria's premier ski village Falls Creek. |
